
As of July 1, 2024, the web team will no longer create, support or host new online forms in Formsite.
In the past, this platform enabled us to meet departments’ needs for online forms. However, since NIU now provides employees with access to several other free, user-friendly tools to create and manage their own forms, it’s no longer necessary or efficient for the web team to maintain university forms on Formsite.
Instead, you can use the following platforms to build and manage your forms:
To add your form to your website, include a link to it on your web update request form.
What about existing forms?
While we originally intended for existing Formsite forms to remain remain online after July 1, 2024, we need to phase out Formsite earlier than anticipated. The web team will contact your area regarding existing Formsite forms that need to be moved to another platform. Please recreate the forms by Aug. 15, 2024, and inform us at webcommunications@niu.edu when this work is done.
How can I prepare for this change?
To get ready for this change, we suggest making a list of forms on your site, noting where each is hosted. For those hosted on Formsite, decide which platform to use instead. Review training resources and/or knowledge-base materials to prepare you to manage your own forms, then recreate the forms accordingly.
